The first time I experienced Dwayne, I was behind the console preparing for his second release titled, "Dopsie Strikes". I was not expecting what followed, the most amazing "Hendrix or Stevie Ray" style of playing... except he was strokin' an accordion instead of a Strat. Dopsie's vocals were stunning, powerful and soulful, sort of like all of the male Motown singers together in one throat. Dwayne's band, the Zydeco Hellraisers, were in the pocket the entire session.

"Up in Flames" producer, Gary J. Edwards of Sound Of New Orleans Record Company, put his "MoJo" on this project along with his down-home production team of Zydeco experts.

Dopsie’s new songs really show why his music, though thought of as traditional Zydeco, rings of a new generation.
